Do you have a clear picture of where you want to go and what you want to do, if not end up doing, as time goes by?
It’s about having a definiteness of purpose of your own personal journey.
Seeing it clearly in your mind is the essential first step, and then attending to the importance of staying on track will help to maintain focus in order to reach your destination.
Many people have an idea of where they would like to travel; who they would like to meet, what they would love to accomplish and so on, yet sticking to whatever is necessary in order to reach a goal, requires a steadfast resolve in order to stay on track.
Self-discipline is vitally important in order not to get side-tracked and find yourself reeling from pillar to post.
Perhaps you have dreamt of something that really appealed to you and then found yourself reminded of not having done or achieved what you desired in the first place. It happens to most people because circumstances change and focus gets disturbed.
So, if you really want to achieve something, then make sure you control your thoughts and desires.
Never lose sight of your target consciously and this will allow your unconscious mind to keep you on a chosen path.
Fake it or Faith it
Fake it till you make it ought to be replaced with Faith it till you make it. Having faith in yourself and the direction you wish to travel is an excellent formula for achievement.
Also, seeing yourself in possession of your desired goal can help enormously and dreaming great dreams will raise your expectation and assist you in reaching a positive outcome.
All of this takes discipline in order for your mind not to wander into thinking one way one day and a different way the next. It’s all to do with setting goals for yourself and recognising whether they are realistic or pie in the sky imaginings.
Ask yourself whether there is validity in your reasoning and are you picturing something you really want or merely day dreaming.
Once you accept your chosen path, then the next step is to write whatever you have desired down in a diary or on paper that is never out of your sight.
Ideas can easily be forgotten as our mind becomes overcrowded with thoughts, and the number of thoughts is almost impossible to keep up with in this day and age.
Know who’s rowing your boat and don’t allow outside influences to detract your attention from what it is that you would like to achieve. It can be too easy to be swayed from our desired plan of action because so much is happening in our busy lives.
However, understand the power of choice and remember to recognise that your actions emanate from choosing to do something, not HAVING to do, which can be self-punishment!
Get on track and stay on track.
