Royal Media Services (RMS) group one of the regional giant media houses will be laying off a number of its current employees in what it has termed as a reorganization precipitated by changes in the broadcasting industry. In a statement signed and released by the media house Managing Director Wachira Waruru, RMS acknowledged to have no other option other than proceed with the tough business reorganization process which will include rationalization of various departments.”
RMS has committed to carry out the process within the legal and human confines acknowledging the fact that it will have significant impact on the affected staff and their families.
“Unfortunately and regrettably, the action will result in the reduction of our workforce through job redundancies. The management realises that this exercise will be very difficult for the affected members of staff and their families,” the statement said
The statement added “The exercise will be taken within provisions of the law and the company will provide the affected staff with the necessary support to help them manage the transition,”
